I'll put it to you plain. People scared of Musk and Trump should realize that if the government had not pushed the public this far, had not abused its power, had not vilified common people because of their viewpoints, had not resorted to violence, riots, or intimidation tactics, had not resorted to destroying the livelihoods of people that they disagreed with--- they would not be where they are. People would not have been compelled to vote for the opposite 'extreme.' One side got too extreme for the public to tolerate. The pendulum swung. The people who voted for the left's brand shouldn't be blaming others for the fear they feel. So despite what experts and pundits tell you, elections have consequences. Your fear is one of them.

One extreme begets another.

"If our corruption goes undetected, it's OK."

That is the mindset that has been bringing the US to it's knees for quite sometime now.

And Trump and his trusty sidekick Elon are the result.

Elon wouldn't have felt the need to buy Twitter or divert his attention from helping humanity reach Mars if the extremes had not been allowed to reach this level.

That level applies to both sides.

This isn't a revolution, it's a restoration.

T K may be right.

My neighbors, three of them so far, all voted for Trump in November.

They say if he messes with their money or the employment of their family friends, they will vote for the Dems next year.

I wonder how widespread those feelings will become.

They are centrist...

But relative to what position?

Politics is a game of extremes now. There are no moderates anymore.
pulling the governemnt back to its intended authority and ending the financial destruction of the country is going back to the middle,,

an extreme pendulum swing would be to remove reuired duties to a more far right libertarian or anarchist level of government,,

I have a hard time believing anyone tells anyone else who they voted for in this political climate.

Another example of one extreme begetting another.
