I think he said he'd visited 57 and only had 1 to go......not that 58 is any funnier than 57, I just thought I'd give him full credit.

Then again, maybe it's ambition....a Senate packing plan like Roosevelt had a court packing plan. If he makes our Territories states, he could have serious Dem majority for years.

Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, US Virgin Islands and of course Washington, DC (not a territory but....).

Clearly, DC, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and USVI are fairly solidly to impenetrably Democrat. NMI is its own animal and Guam appears to tend Rep.

Providing them all representation would add 12 senators to the senate with 8 to 10 of them probably being Dem.

Puerto Rico doesn't want to be a state. They get the benefits of being American citizens, without paying the taxes for it. The ultimate form of socialism, and people wonder why they vote for Democrats only.
