Last night's debate was open season on Trump. Whether or not anyone believes his nomination would be best for the Republicans, there is no doubt that the entire GOP is in attack mode to keep him from winning the nomination. Leading Republican Senators have attacked him, and they even drug Romney out to trash him. There is no doubt there is a concerted effort by the GOP to target him. He promised to not run as an independent as long as he was treated fairly, but nobody believes he is receiving the fairness he was promised.
If he is the man he claims to be, it's time for him to quit putting up with their crap and go independent. His association with the GOP is hurting him instead of helping him. As a business man, he's been in this position before, and the only thing for him to do is cut all ties with the GOP. Trump won't lose a single vote by going independent, and it's about time he showed them they can't screw with him and get away with it. Of course, he could just remain where he is and be the laughing stock they are trying to make of him.

:wtf:

Democrats would LOVE for Trump to go independent, giving Hillary a shot. If you didn't notice, all the candidates pledged to support the nomination winner, no matter who that may be. Calling on Trump to drop out / become an independent when he is winning the nomination at this point is ridiculous.

easy, right, as we all know the politicians would never go back on what they swear to do.

Trump going independent wouldn't give Hillary a shot, it would give her a victory. She already has a very good shot at winning against Trump or any of the other Republicans alone.

You haven't heard all the preparations to assure a contested convention? There is no way the GOP will allow Trump to be their candidate. His only chance at the presidency is to go independent.

I'm pretty sure the "treated fairly" was in the context of LOSING the primary.

As he is still winning despite all the Establishment can throw at him, there is no reason for him to walk away.

Now, if they play games at the convention, that would be another matter.

Why wait until the convention? The GOP has made their intentions clear. They will not allow Trump to be their candidate.

Why? Because it's a dumb idea. There is no need to, especially now.

That's exactly what the GOP thinks of him. That's why they won't allow him to get the nomination.
