Reversing energy-stifling democrat policies has resulted in a significant drop in crude oil prices. This impacts every aspect of the economy as we rely on energy in every way. Gas prices should follow shortly. This also could counter potential price increases due to tariffs.
Win-win.
Unfortunately, thanks to democrat money-printing and consequential inflation, dollar values of oil likely won’t get to below $50 as they were just before Biden took office. However, they will be that low relatively.

No. OPEC opened up production. US E&P entities have been cutting back developing new reserves.

Promises made, promises kept.

Why is gas still priced in the $3.00 range?

Not in my area.
Where are you and what is gas going for?

I'm in Cleveland, Ohio and it still hovers around $3.29 unless you go to Costco, where I recently paid $2.62.

I hope the administration will also begin phasing out all requirements that ethanol be added to gasoline formulas. I suspect they can't do that all at once without devastating farmers who grow massive amounts of corn and other crops that are then converted into the plant based fuel.. They need time to transition back to growing food crops for human and other animal consumption.

Requiring oil companies to include ethanol in gasoline not only increases the cost of gasoline anywhere from a few cents up to more than 70 cents depending on what source you consult, but it also increases the cost of corn and other food products overall that are staples in the American diet.

And not even the most activist tree huggers try to pretend that ethanol is as efficient as gasoline as a fuel.

It has to do with increased current seasonal demand and fuel formula transition that happens prior to warm weather months. The gas price should drop as the summer progresses.
Again, it likely won’t get to the <$2.00 range it was at before Biden because of the devaluing of the dollar from democrat money printing.

interesting.

Two weeks ago, Trump falsely claimed “a couple” states had just seen gas prices fall to $1.98 per gallon. That was not even close to true – no state had an average lower than about $2.70 per gallon, and there was no evidence any individual station was offering gas for under $2 per gallon – but the next day Trump said “three states” had just hit $1.98 per gallon, which was also far from the truth.

Just so YOU know

Grains like corn, wheat, and soybeans used for biofuel production also yield valuable byproducts, such as dried distillers grains (DDGs), which can be used as animal feed. This "dual-purpose" use of grains in both biofuel production and animal feed is a significant aspect of the biofuel industry.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Biofuel Production and Co-Products:
Biofuel production, particularly of ethanol from grains, generates byproducts like DDGs, which are rich in protein and fiber.

  • Animal Feed:
These byproducts, especially DDGs, are highly nutritious and can be used as a feed for livestock, including cattle, pigs, and poultry.

  • Corn as a Primary Feedstock:
Corn is a major feedstock for biofuel production, and the resulting DDGs are a significant source of animal feed in the US and globally.

  • Nutritional Value:
DDGs retain a considerable portion of the original nutritional value of the grain, making them a valuable feed source for livestock.

  • Impact on Food Supply:
While some argue that biofuel production diverts grain from human consumption, the co-products like DDGs offset this to some extent by providing a high-quality feed source for animals.

Trump is out of touch with everyday Americans because he has always been wealthy.

I have a family member who is a senior professional engineer in that business. He assures me that pretty much all that stuff is a huge boon to the oil industry--they make out like bandits accommodating the government mandates for 'green energy. But there is no way the taxpayer is getting his/her money's worth in the process.

For the 4,657,453rd time, the American president does not control the economy, price of oil or eggs. The American president merely presides over the government.

Politics isn't football, no matter how enthusiastic one is about it.

If the price goes down near $50, producers will quit pumping. $2 gas is a fantasy that isn’t going to be realized, because producers would be losing money.

It'd be something to see oil prices go down to $30 per gallon.
