you all will know this song, I trust,

What would you answer to my question?
I heard Morrie sing it. He was predicting his death as this is a song commonly played for funerals.

One version is a jazzy instrumental arrangement that was used for the theme music to "The Danny Thomas Show", otherwise known as "Make Room For Daddy", which was on TV in the 50's and 60's. One of my favorite shows when I was a kid.

I think you can watch that on Amazon Prime. If you live in an area with a good library system, they may have it too. Where I live, we can access materials from 72 libraries and have whatever we want shipped to our local one.

Thanks.

I think we also have a reciprocal lending agreement at all of the small town libraries near where I live. I'll bet I could get it, or at least see it on YT.

Although I was just a kid, I remember one joke, about "Uncle Tonoose", whose nose was like a Lebanese coat hook.

Why the death?
.

As is evident in the second verse, the singer is talking to a living person.

"But when ye come, and all the flowers are dying,
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Avé there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me!"
