OBAMA'S war on the middle class

The only thing that stopped Bill Clinton from governing as the flaming liberal that Barack Obama is was Clinton's Republican Congress.

Otherwise, both Obama and Clinton pretty much wanted the same things.

liberals now have a blank check written on the taxpayers account

No, he is a marxist. You can give me any definition of that you want, and none of them would preclude his views.

What a flaming moron!

Are you one of those escapees from a mental institution?

Or are you one of those paid by the NRC or one of the neo con pacs to try to disrupt support for our president?

Really no one that can operate a keyboard can be as stupid as you..there has to be a catch.

Clearly you're just a commie. That chart shows that people in the red column work harder than people in teh blue column and deserve every penny of compensation and golden parachutes. Those blues need to lace up their boots and take responsibility for this economy......

bah nevermind I can't even play devils advocate when the statistics are this obvious. Nice chart! :clap2:

oh well, time for a commie song then....?

I find it funny that anyone can say with a straight face that the dems wage a war on the middle class. where was the wingnut when cheney was creating energy policy in a back room with the ceo's and lobbyists of oil and car companies?

how effective the brain washing has been. :cuckoo:

One word CHANGE ...
so yea the kewlade is working just fine!

it's not so much a war on the middle class

it's a war on our ourselves that's been instituted here....

Oh, I don't know about that.

Some small percentage of the population is doing very well thanks to the policies which are destroying the middle class.

He's too late. Reagan started a war on the middle class and the rich are still winning.

You don't seem to understand--there is no such thing as "triple UP" economics. There has never been a poor person that has employed another poor person YET.

Reagan--was the start of a private sector economy that grew in leaps & bounds for the next two decades.

The only thing that is growing right now is the size of government. From what just happened in California--you can see the end result of that. "Bankrupsty."

"The problem with socialism is that government eventually runs out of other peoples money to spend"--Margaret Thatcher.

Reagan started the bubble that just burst because it was smoke and mirrors, not real value that has been created.

I love the Margaret Thatcher quote, it completely ignores the fact that currency belongs to the government, not to "other people". Not to mention - money is cyclical. The government spends it, it doesn't just fucking disappear. It goes back out into the economy to be taxed again on it's next trip around, and then spent again. money is NOT finite.

All meaningful money originates from production in the private sector. The government doesn't just make meaningful money appear, it taxes production.

I just wanted to tell ya that I use the "name" "sparky" often as I do "Sport" in low level antaganism of neo con idiots. Don't take it personally. When I am refering to you I will clearly write "Sparky".

Does anyone know what income range is considered middle class by Obama?

I often wonder what motivates people like Sarahgop to defend the rich because really that is all this is about. If you are rich you are not creating jobs, an underlying assumption in some of these debates. Rich people may own companies or stock or land that creates jobs but the riches do not do that. Take as an example Gates, MS crushed more companies than any business in my lifetime, MS outsources technical work, MS wants easier way to outsource or bring in workers - Gates' riches today are used for philanthropic purposes. All the wealthy people I know are not creating jobs, they are often enjoying the fruits of large stock sales, inheritance, or marrying way up the food chain. Boggles my mind why tools like Sarah continue this silly argument?

The rich get rich because of their merit.
Firedoglake » Newsflash: Ronald Reagan Raised Taxes (You Idiots)

"There is no historical evidence that tax cuts spur economic growth. The highest period of growth in U.S. history (1933-1973) also saw its highest tax rates on the rich: 70 to 91 percent. During this period, the general tax rate climbed as well, but it reached a plateau in 1969, and growth slowed down five years later. Almost all rich nations have higher general taxes than the U.S., and they are growing faster as well."

I don't understand your attack on the rich... If you don't like wealth and prosperity Cuba would be a good place to live, or maybe Mexico, Columbia, Russia...good luck

As is often the case you misread, the rich do well, defending them is unneeded, they are covered.

But to extend your assumption that those places are not good, can you compare poverty here and there and tell me which is better. How would you know. Or can you tell me that people in those nations are not happy and settled? Shopping at walmart may not be in the cards for them unlike you, but hey they could still enjoy life more than you seem to.

That's moronic. There are tens of millions IT jobs that would not have existed had Bill Gates not come along.

The 91 percent tax rate only applied to earners income over $2.8M in 2008 dollars, and there were plenty more loopholes. Revenues to the Treasury doubled during Reagan's tenure.

The only thing you can say about that rate is that people avoided earning income in order not to pay it.

Oh, good, so you think we should be happy being no better off then the lowest dreg in any of those countries.

Barack Obama believes this, too, by the way.

we have obama charging us around 1500 extra bucks for a car with his mileage program. we have obama doubling or tripling our electricity bills. obama is going to increase our gas tax to make up for the fuel mileage we save. obama, the filth, is forcing non union car dealers to lose everything so his labor goons can be safe. we can all agree obama is a lying jerk when he said he wasnt going to raise taxes on the middle class by a single dime. actually, this filth was right. he will raise our taxes by 3 or 4 thousand a year.
Thank Reagan for the decline of the middle class. Before Reagan a family could be supported with one income, and own a home.

It's not hard to say with a straight face since it's the truth and what cheney did or didn't do is irrelevant, besides the fact that it is a completely baseless accusation on your part.

We're going to pay for our "federal money" now at tax time next year. How swell of Obama to let me keep $10 more per week of my own money. That doesn't even cover the amount gas prices have risen in the last month.

You can fall for the sleight of hand with the money if you want. Fact is, we're paying out more and we're going to be paying out even more before this knucklehead quits writing rubber checks ... IF he does.
Did you complain about $4.+ for a gallon of gas under Bush?

We are already paying more for healthcare than any other nation. So I guess dumbness is endemic, Willow?

PS - And we don't have near the best care either.

If Obama made a perfect plan, you would bitch just because he's a Dem. At least we had some real reasons to bitch about Bush - Almost 5000 dead American Patriots in Iraq.

YSFAR:lol:

5000? That was a bad DAY on Normandy. A bad week on Iwo and Okinawa. A bad MONTH in Korea and Vietnam......
