Correct. Presidents don’t go on ‘vacation.’ The entire administrative apparatus goes with him, he still gets the same briefings, reads the same number of reports, and address the business of the Nation as if he were in Washington.

This is where you are wrong. I happen to work at a hotel where Bush came, twice. Once was for about a week, the other time was for a couple days. The entire TOP THREE FLOORS were booked by the government, not just for the President, but for all the support personnel that surround him at these times, as well as to maintain adequately secure areas. All in all, the federal government booked about 200 rooms, at more than $300 a night. That puts the housing costs at over $420,000. Alot more than what housing on Obama's vacation is costing.

Michelle Obama insisted on a pricey holiday to Hawaii when her husband would have rather gone to a presidential retreat, according to reports.

She allegedly wanted the taxpayer-funded $4million trip when Barack Obama sought instead to make the short trip to Camp David in Maryland.
Political sources told the National Enquirer that the 47-year-old’s spending is rocketing and she even went on a shopping spree before the Hawaii trip.
