It's the mental leap I took. There are few histories not written by academicians. Our current crop rated W the worst ever even in with such notables as Hoover and Andrew Johnson to choose from.

As Rdean is so fond of pointing out, only 6% of Scientists are Republican.

My experience in the People's Republic of Minnesota's higher education system showed me that college level instructors are just this side of Communists, and not by much.
