Bush- Invade iraq
Obama- Win Iraq
History will duly record who did what
My belief is we will, in fact, be greeted as liberators." –Vice President Dick Cheney, "Meet the Press," March 16, 2003
"It's hard to conceive that it would take more forces to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq than it would take to conduct the war itself and to secure the surrender of Saddam’s security forces and his army. Hard to imagine." –Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, testifying before the House Budget Committee prior to the Iraq war, Feb. 27, 2003
These two statements from the Bush brain trust show why the Bush Iraq War was a FAIL. "Hard to conceive" ??? Even Bush Senior understood the political realities of Iraq. They grossly misread the political situation in Iraq and refused to provide the troop levels suggested by Gen Shinseki. This resulted in the unnecessary deaths of 4000 American soldiers
JUST CURIOUS
You know that Bush and the Republicans never included the cost of either war in their budgets, right? Obama was honest about the cost of the wars for the first time. You know that, right? Say you know that.
Is this the same Obama that was going to comb through the budget with a fine-toothed comb?
Obama was given a "sinking ship" and Republcians are angry he's not "polishing the anchor".

Obama was given a job to finish with most of the heavy-lifting already done.
He has succeeded in not fucking it up too bad.
Now he's fucking up royally in Afghanistan with his bullshit ROEs and his Miranda rights allowing POWs to lawyer up.
The mission accomplished sign was intentionally warped by the media into something that applied to the entire mission when in fact the sign only meant that the battlegroup that hosted Bush's hook-landing fulfilled their mission, not the entire Iraqi operation. Bush stated it might be years...even decades but dumb asses like you never listened.

What Bush actually said:
Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed." –President Bush, standing under a "Mission Accomplished" banner on the USS Lincoln aircraft carrier, May 2, 2003

The mission accomplished banner was for the carrier finishing deployment but you on the left in your infinite stupidity, attempts to derail Bush and other political bullshit reasons, this is what you tards twisted it into...said it meant the War in Iraq was over.
The combat operations WERE in fact completed. The Iraqi government fell and we now controlled the country. There was no insurgency at the time. After a failed plan was implemented by the Iraqi provisional government an insurgency fueled by Sunni muslims and Al Qaeda fighters ensued plunging the country into chaos. After a change in strategy late 2007 into 2008 the insurgency was finally crushed and Bush negotiated the troop withdrawal.

May 2003 Bush declares the "allies have prevailed"
May 2004 Still no mission accomplished
May 2005 Still no mission accomplished
May 2006 Still no mission accomplished
May 2007 Still no mission accomplished
May 2008 Still no mission accomplished
4000 DIE after Bush declares that he had prevailed
Here we are Feb 2010 and now the right wing apologists are claiming "see we accomplished the mission"
BUSH=FAIL

And he was right, the Iraqi military had been defeated.
The insurgency is a whole other chapter, And that, Rumsfeld screwed up. And Bush was wrong for listening to him for so long.

you didn't answer my questions....at all...here they are again:
two simple questions.....why is it you can't answer them?
OK lets see why Bush was a LOSS
- Committed US soldiers to die in an unnecessary war
- Botched the troop strength required to do the mission
- His poor decision caused the death of 4000 Americans and the wounding of tens of thousands
- Grossly underestimated the political realities in Iraq
- Failed to negotiate an international alliance
- Failed to achieve "Mission Accomplished" in over 5 years
OK lets see why Obama is a WIN
- Took over an ill-conceived, poorly executed war
- Pulled back US troops from the hot zones
- Correctly established Afghanistan as the cornerstone of the War on Terror
- Pulled out USMC
The USMC were the bulk of the combat troops. That battle was won so why keep in the marines.
Truth is you have no fucken idea what you're talking about.
WWII was a cluster-fuck most of the time....so I suppose we lost???
Millions of lives were lost not 4000. The D-Day test run cost the lives of over 4000 troops you fucken idiot. And you want to bitch about 4000 over how many years you fucking ingrate. How many are dying that aren't being reported now?

I'm so fed up with cocksuckers like you that know nothing about military tactics repeating the lies of Democrats who are equally ignorant of tactics. Just shut the fuck up.
Gen Shinseki publicly clashed with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld during the planning of the war in Iraq over how many troops the U.S. would need to keep in Iraq for the postwar occupation of that country. As Army Chief of Staff, General Shinseki testified to the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee that "something in the order of several hundred thousand soldiers" would probably be required for postwar Iraq. This was an estimate far higher than the figure being proposed by Secretary Rumsfeld in his invasion plan, and it was rejected in strong language by both Rumsfeld and his Deputy Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, who was another chief planner of the invasion and occupation
Dumb ass Bush dared to fire Shinseki for daring to contradict Rumsfeld, Cheney and Wolfowitz........leading to the unnecessary deaths of 4000 soldiers

and here your complete lack of knowledge relating to anything military is glaringly obvious. Shinseki may have been right with his assessment of troop levels required for post war Iraq but you CANNOT have public dissention in the chain of command. That's where SHINSEKI fucked up. A soldier relies on the cohesion that's put forth by the chain of command. When there is a problem in the chain it must be removed or fixed as soon as possible so the troops don't lose confidence in their leadership.
Left wing loon talking points will only take you so far but here in the real world those talking points make you look like a dope.

So why is his administration attempting to take the credit for it's success?
Oh...another thing....wars aren't perfect. Bad things happen during them. When this happens it doesn't mean the Commander In Chief was incompetent. The trick is showing the leadership it takes to turn a bad war into a success. If that's being incompetent then Bush is.
Mr Biden is known for saying things off the cuff, without any assistance or guidance from the rest of the administration. You all should know that, you continuously make fun of him for doing just that.
