The two companies that will receive the money from the president's $862 billion economic stimulus are Abengoa Solar, which will build one of the world's largest solar plants in Arizona, creating 1,600 construction jobs; and Abound Solar Manufacturing, which is building plants in Colorado and Indiana. The Obama administration says those projects will create more than 2,000 construction jobs and 1,500 permanent jobs.

Yep... we have gubmn't solar project in Denver that will have an estimated lifespan of 25yrs but will take 100yrs to "earn" its cost back... Liberals aren't burdened with reality...

Don't even get me started on DPS and it's avoidance of repairing or disposing of its MANY solar systems...

I pass by a Co. called Solyndra everyday on the way to work on 880.

Obama went there 3 weeks ago for a photo op extholing the vitures of a green co. and the jobs it creates ( jerry brown followed up a week later for gods knows whatever reason he and cali had squat to do with Solyndra getting going) ....green jobs yada yada....well, Solyndra was built with VC and primarily gov. money in 2005.

They have yet to show a dime in profit.


About 9 months ago I noticed the ironwork going up about 1/4 mile down the road from them....2 weeks ago they got far enough along wherein the name is now on the multi- acre complex, Solyndra...do a little digging and but of course; a 527 Million grant from the stimulus money to build the additional .....thats half a billion dollars. Not one dime have they made.

This is just the same deal. whats the tally on this one? 300K a job? And 2000 of those jobs are temporary. I mean come on folks.
