BTW....the intent of the rule is so cops who are falsely accused by someone with a grudge.....dont get their house foreclosed on due to not being paid while they investigate the allegation. So...NYPD...like most unionized departments.....has a rule (won by unions) that when accused of a crime....the employee is on paid leave until proven guilty.
