From what I read it was 3 sheriffs deputies hiding behind their cars when the police arrived. The police were stunned and went inside when they arrived. We need gun control. Even law enforcement doesn't want to mess with these mass killing guns. No way a teacher would ever have a chance armed or not. I call BS on the NRA!

Yes, the fact that these LEOs did a terrible job is DEFINITELY a reason why we need to make sure that civilians are totally dependent on law enforcement for protection. *eye roll*

After Columbine, police were taught to rush into a building and confront the killer. History has shown us that a confronted killer will turn his gun on himself, because he usually does not want to be taken alive.

Its possible that the second that this killer saw the cops, that he would have killed himself, and the carnage would have ended.
