i'm not sure it would translate well into film.

Kind of like when they made a TV show out of Dilbert, and it turned into kind of crap.

You know, if they could stay true to the original writing of Bloom County, I kinda think it would make a pretty decent movie, maybe two, because there is enough Bloom County comics to do so.

Dunno about a television series though, because when that happens, they get a lot of other writers into the mix and end up diluting the original author's work.
