In the meantime most investigating journalist seemed to be completely oblivious to the goings on in Minneapolis' Somali community as it defrauded what seems to be billions of taxpayer dollars meant to help the poor.

We all understand that most MSM investigating journalists were in an intense wild goose chase to get the "goods" on Trump, and thus did not have the time or inclination to unravel what were obvious scandals of epic proportions which transcended Minnesota and now are being uncovered in places like Maine and Ohio and who knows what's yet to come.

This isn't entirely true. There have been prosecutions going on for the last few years, but there was scant media coverage of it. Shirley essentially blew the top off of it with his own investigations and brought it to the attention of millions more on social media, forcing the MSM's hand.
