Sorry to disappoint. No "meltdown" over this Venezuelan strike. Never been a big fan of communist, communist leaning autocrats, Venezuelan governments like this one, included. I am pretty sure this will see an end to blowing up little boats, out in the ocean on the pretext of stopping drugs coming from that country, or seizing oil tankers. I hear we are keeping the oil. The oil and oil assets nationalized by that country, all the way back to Chavez, is the real reason for the pressure campaign, started in September.

I don't think anyone is outraged that Maduro has been removed. The left is concerned about the rule of law and motives. Some on the left believe this was illegal. I am not sure whether it was illegal.

Now, and in the coming days I think we'll be seeing that most Venezuelans are very happy that we acted, regardless of the legality of the actions.
Americans on the other hand will demand the actions be legal, which I am assuming they are.
