Fines for criminal convictions happen all the time. Businesses can only be fined under the NY criminal laws used to prosecute , even in criminal cases.

The Trump organization (more specifically, the Trump Organization and a subsidiary, Trump Payroll) were found guilty of all 17 felonies it was charged with Including multiple charges of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records.

The Trump Organization, Trump Payroll and Allen Weisselberg were the three defendants in the 24 page criminal indictment. They were all charged together.

Violations of NY Code § 190.65(1)(3) is absolutely a crime. Says who? The NY Prosecutors, the grand jury, the trial jury and the judge.
