Perez’s journey to define masculinity for himself is in some ways unique to his experience as a transgender man. But even his friends who went alongside him in the series –– some gay, some straight and cisgendered –– have had to wrestle with ideas of manhood. The series gave them an opportunity to sort out some of their thoughts.

this is the best part:

It is normal for anyone, no matter their gender identity, to crave feeling valuable, successful, accepted and connected –– even if men are socialized to put off an image of lone-wolf stoicism, said Judy Yi-Chung Chu, who teaches a class on boys’ psychological development at Stanford University.

You get that? Judy… Teaches Democrats how boys become men.

So tell me something, Democrats. Is it true that you crave feeling valuable, successful, accepted and connected? If true, let me give you a hint of how to do that.

The best way to feel valuable is to be valuable. The best way to feel successful is to be successful to both of those is a simple thing called “work.”

Give it a try sometime. It’s practically foolproof. Notice I say foolproof not instantaneous. There’s no such thing as an overnight success people who are supposedly overnight successes nearly always worked their asses off for long period time before suddenly being recognized for it.

Good news is if your goal is to be a successful man, that men enjoy work for the sake of working. That is how we are able to delay gratification by working now for later. Every clod we shovel, every brick we lay, every board we nail, Every bridge we design, gives us satisfaction. Then when we get the results we look back finally on all that work.

Being sheltered from work, along with being sheltered from losing, are the main causes of today’s generation of beta males, resisting manhood by being crybullies and stomping their little feet when told no.

Thank God such people did not win this time.
