There comes a point where bad citizens adversely affect their communities so much that harsher measures must be taken. We are passed this point, due to lax, woke prosecutors and judges who doesn't dish out harsh enough punishment to deter those caught from committing more crimes. And new criminals from not being even the slightest bit concerned about punishment.

Also prison not being a harsh enough system of punishment. Nor does the prison system offer much advantages to criminals who are trying to better themselves. There are programs available. But because our prisons are so overcrowded, inmates who want to better themselves are constantly surrounded by many who don't. And that's a bad influence. And it makes it much harder for them to stay straight and focused on bettering themselves.

If the big cities were federalized and the NG were the ones busting & sentencing the the criminals, (IE safety over liberty), it wouldn't affect decent citizens one bit. But coming down hard on the criminals in society would affect decent citizens in a positive way. They could live freer lives, without near as much fear of being harmed by a criminal.

Cleveland Federal Reserve President Beth Hammack joined CNBC’s “Squawk Box Europe” on Monday to discuss the health of the U.S. economy.

Asked whether it is mistake for the Fed to be cutting interest rates given the economic backdrop, Hammack described it as “a challenging time for monetary policy.”

They really don't want to lower interest rates yet but Trump's policies are forcing them to. If they don't, it'll cause more layoffs and a recession.

U.S. labor market looks “reasonably healthy” and broadly in balance, while inflation remains stubbornly above the Fed’s target

“So, again, to me, when I balance those two sides of our mandate, I think we really need to maintain a restrictive stance of policy so that we can get inflation back down to our goal,”

Hammack has previously suggested she would be hesitant about lowering interest rates as long as inflation remains a threat.

“Near-term risks to inflation are tilted to the upside and risks to employment to the downside — a challenging situation,” Powell said on Sept. 23 during a speech to business leaders in Providence, Rhode Island.

“Two-sided risks mean that there is no risk-free path,” he added.
