In Science, this would show that the anti-gun argument is full of..... stuff......since we have more than 18.6 million Americans who can now legally carry guns for self defense......and yet our violent crime rate went down, again.........even rifle murder is down...

So....what argument do the anti-gunners really have.....other than crying, pulling their hair, stamping their feet....and praying to whatever "god" they believe in for mass shootings, so they can drag the dead and injured through the blood to display them to democrat reporters?

All Time High: Now Over 18.6 Million Concealed Carry Permit Holders

A new report into the number of concealed carry permit holders announced this week found the numbers at an all-time high even as 16 states recognize permitless or constitutional carry.

The 62-page report, compiled by the Crime Prevention Research Center, shows that 1.4 million more permits and carry licenses were issued in the last year, bringing the number of active holders to some 18.66 million. This represents an 8 percent growth from 2018’s figures and a serious 304 percent increase since 2007.

Abstract
Despite the expectations of many after the 2016 elections the number of concealed handgun permits has increased for the third year in a row. In 2019, the number of concealed handgun permits soared to now over 18.66 million – a 304% increase since 2007. About an 8% growth over the number of permits since 2018. Unlike surveys that may be affected by people’s unwillingness to answer some personal questions, concealed handgun permit data is the only really “hard data” that we have on gun ownership across the United States. Still, an even larger number of people carry because in 16 states people don’t need a permit to carry.
Among the findings of our report:
■ Last year, the number of permit holders continued to grow by about 1.4 million. Despite 16 states where a permit isn’t required and expectations that permits were primarily driven by fears of Democratic presidencies, the growth in permits has continued at a similar pace after the November 2016 election.
■ 7.3% of American adults have permits. Outside the restrictive states of California and New York, about 8.75% of the adult population has a permit.
■ In thirteen states, more than 10% of adults have permits, down from just fifteen last year. The three states that now fell below 10% are now all Constitutional Carry states – Arkansas, Oklahoma, and West Virginia, where people no longer need a permit to carry in their states. South Carolina was the one state that had been below 10% that was now above it.
■ Alabama has the highest rate — 26.3%. Indiana is second with 17.9%, and South Dakota, another Constitutional Carry state, saw its percent decline to 16.02%.
■ Four states now have over 1 million permit holders: Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Florida is the first state with over has over 2 million permits.
■ Sixteen states have adopted constitutional carry, meaning that a permit is no longer required. Some people in these states still choose to obtain permits so that they can carry in other states that have reciprocity agreements with their states. However, because of these constitutional carry states, the nationwide growth in permits does not paint a full picture of the overall increase in concealed carry.

Women, Minorities Fueling Increase in Concealed Handgun Permits

Women are largely fueling the increase. Among the eight states that had data from 2012-19, permits for men grew by 107% and permits for women soared by 215%. In the 14 states with 2016 data on sex, women now make up 36% of permit holders.


Over those same years, the number of blacks with permits increased 30% faster than the number of whites with permits. Blacks now make up 11% of permit holders. A few states provide a breakdown for Asian-Americans, and in those states they accounted for the largest percentage increase in permits.

We have no criminal control in this country, the vast majority of violent crime is done by repeat offenders in progressive controlled urban areas with extremely strict gun control laws. Execute violent criminals/Repeat offenders… Problem solved. Frivolous gun control laws will save nobody. Fact

And yet they are going down...as more people carry guns....you can't explain that.

Gun control in those countries doesn't work, their culture, not gun control, keeps their criminals from killing each other........

Actual Result:

In the U.S....as more Americans own and carry guns over the last 26 years, gun murder down 49%, gun crime down 75%, violent crime down 72%

The result: Exact opposite of theory of anti-gunners....

In Science when you have a theory, when that theory is tested....and the exact opposite result happens...that means your theory is wrong. That is science....not left wing wishful thinking.



Whatever the crime rate does......as more Americans owned more guns the crime rate did not go up....so again...

Now....even more people can carry guns in public for self defense....and the violent crime rate and the rifle murder rate have gone down, not up....

We have criminals in jail for short sentences and released on bond by democrats over and over again...it doesn't matter how full they are temporarily...if you let gun criminals out they go out and shoot people...you moron.
