A recent Pew Research Center poll – which nationally surveyed 3,554 US adults between August 4 to 10 – found that a majority of Americans hold negative views on Trump's controversial tariffs and "Big, Beautiful Bill," and 53% say he is making the federal government function less effectively.

The poll also found that approval of Trump's job performance as president has slipped, even among MAGA supporters, along with how Americans perceive aspects of his personality.

While most agreed that Trump "stands up for what he believes in" (68%), the majority also believes he is not mentally sharp (51%), doesn't keep his promises (56%), doesn't care about the needs of ordinary people (63%), is not honest (63%), and is not a good role model (70%).

The poll was taken after Trump reached the sixth month mark of his second term. Despite being inundated with countless controversies and scandals and steadily falling poll numbers, Trump has insisted that the period has established him as the greatest leader of all time, and claimed he is overwhelmingly loved by the American people.

Th idiots at Jackson poultry (a maker of chicken nuggets) didn't seem to, when they almost leveled the place, using Oxygen to clear the lines, causing huge explosion and fire, shutting them down for months, a few years back.

85% of the carrots come from CA. The rest are from Michigan and Texas.

If your carrots go up 40% you can blame CA regulations and taxes.

Just so you are aware; the increase in WHOLESALE prices doesn't take into account current inventory. Taking stock OUT of refrigeration could well see minimal increases in retail; buying "in season" is always the winner........but thanks for the links.

veggies haven't gone up in my area ..

When fruit and veg are out of season they go up BIGLY. Saw some grapes a while back for $20 for 2.2 lbs. They were from California; over 10000 miles away. Of course when the local produce came back on line the retailers didn't go back to the old price but charged higher; profiteering of course.

Sometimes, doing nothing is better than doing something, especially when that "something" is harmful to the country.

What really bothers me is how easily Trump was able to sell the idea that the federal government is riddled with waste and corruption, when that simply isn't the case. Much of what’s labeled as "waste" or "corruption" is actually bureaucratic red tape, often created by Congress itself.

If Trump were truly interested in cutting government waste, his "big, beautiful" bill would have streamlined operations and eliminated unnecessary functions, making government more efficient. Instead, he cut over 75,000 federal employees without removing the corresponding job responsibilities. The work Congress assigned to the executive branch isn’t getting done because the people who were supposed to do it are no longer there. And yet, the work still remains.
