The Heritage Foundation is out with a new roadmap on how to reform the FBI as the federal law enforcement agency continues to be embroiled in controversy and civil liberties violations.
"The FBI’s chilling record of politicized abuses and the executive branch’s continuing misuse of federal intelligence authorities to target the exercise of free speech and other constitutional rights of Americans gives Congress clear and compelling grounds for enacting forceful reforms, starting with the FBI," a recently released Heritage report states about the need for reform. "In fact, the time is ripe for Congress to consider a complete reconstruction of the FBI, defining the scope of its jurisdiction, refocusing its mission on traditional law enforcement, and putting it under effective control. Short of that comprehensive reform, Congress must, at the very least, put in place the minimum set of proposed reforms outlined in this paper, and reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act’s Section 702 offers a perfect vehicle for doing so."

The report offers nearly a dozen elements to "reconstruct" the FBI, including by "limiting the tools of investigation used by the Bureau and prohibit efforts to suppress free speech, religious liberty, and other constitutional rights" and "shifting headcount and resources from Washington to the field offices and consider moving the Bureau’s headquarters out of the national capital area."

The responsibilities and functions of the FBI can be easily transferred to Federal Marshals, Treasury, Secret Service, ATF, DEA, Border Patrol.
In scrapping the FBI we must need to be uniform in response and communication, not stepping all over everyone`s toes. This does not mean reform is not needed, but should not necessarily throw out the baby with the bath water.

This may sound easy, but the establishment controls how most of the corporate world, and thus, how most candidates are funded, including Trump.

I don't even think Trump would support this plan, TBH.

The only candidate I could conceivably see getting behind such a bold move, would be RFKjr.

And for him, this is a deeply personal issue.

IMO? I believe in his world, such a move should have been made after the supposed corruption of J. Edgar Hoover was uncovered.

I can say, with all honesty, that even though I was not alive back then, I cared just as much about the politicization of the intel establishment back then, as I do now.

I may not agree with the communists, but I agree with their right to speak. Dalton Trumbo is one of America's greatest author's, and what was done to him, was tragic, and what was done to America, in the name of, "fighting," a perceived threat to our way of life, when the real threat, has always been the globalists, was a violation of the Constitution and our way of life.



. . . and, I was just as mocked by the right, back when I called out the establishment putting its finger on the scales of free speech & free elections, and weighting the election toward on particular candidate, by manipulating certain metrics of elections, back in 2000 & 2004.

The right and conservatives? They would not hear of it though. They were too brainwashed by that whole "war on terror," bullshit, to realize, the terror war constructed by the intel agencies, were destroying more of our Constitutional liberties, than the damage any terrorists were actually doing to us.
