I liked the Beatles (not the Rolling Stones!) although I never understood why Starkey was allowed to tag along. And I don't know about Paul being a genius. Not really. Maybe you're too young to remember. The Beatles had substance, the Stones was lot of noise.
I somehow think they got a lot of satisfaction somehow.
Riding on the coat-tails of the Fab Four perhaps.
But let's not forget that he had to sing at the same time.
