A lot of threads out there and all I see everyone doing is posting a youtube link or 2, then leaving the thread. It doesn't even seem like anyone is taking the time to listen to others' recommendations. Part of the reason is there are a lot of posts of music which--as great as it is--has been heard by everyone else a few hundred times.

I'd like for people to make recommendations in this thread of new music, different stuff to turn each other on to. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm constantly hungry for new music; always searching to find that band or composer that I never knew existed, who has produced a treasure trove of great music.

Also, I encourage everyone to take the time and listen to and comment on each others' suggestions. This is about improving each others' quality of life.

My favorite kind of music rarely gets a good review because most people are just not in to it. But that's ok. Someone out there may get something out of my posts.

I'll start of nice and easy. Don't wanna scare anyone off.

I am not a country music fan... or let's say I'm very picky when it comes to country music. However!! I really liked that song! And JO obviously has considerable talent. I like the lyrics too, reminds me of my youth. I literally had a car with no brakes, and I was all gas. Now I'm just an old fart and being all gas is a bad thing. :(

Anyhoo if you're a fan of that, you won't like the music I would normally post but I'll bend my own rules just for you. Here is who JO reminds me of (below). I grew up in the South and completely burned out on Southern classic rock, but this song will always be special for me. JO reminds me of Paul Rodgers! I hope you tell him and I hope he takes it as a compliment.

P.S. There is way more from him than what I have shared here. :) :) :)

I am really enjoying the melding of modern electronic sounds with rock. I think this stuff is called nu-metal. Whatever the variant category is, it's a perfect match.

Good, powerful sounds and performance. Interesting video.

Nadia Ali is of Pakistani descent though she is an American citizen. I always loved "Rapture" and when I discovered this intriguing (and sultry) video, I loved the song all the more!

Which one is superior? I love them both. The 2nd one wouldn't be as impressive if you had never heard the 1st.
