You may have heard that Lord of War (I don't remember the exact new title) Pete Hegseth has established new grooming standards for the military.

As it turns out there is a particular skin condition that has, up until now, had a waiver allowed for it, since there are no real cures for it outside of just not shaving. The condition is called pseudofolliculitis barbae, which makes shaving painful for some men. Those suffering from PFB will be granted one (1) year to cure the condition, for which there is no real cure. If the condition that can't be cured is not cured, they can be summarily dismissed from the military.

Coincidentally, this condition affects one group of men significantly more than other men.

Anyone want to take any guesses as to which group that is?

Pentagon says troops can only be exempt from shaving their facial hair for a year

you say "black men" and I don't really care.

you would do better if you could find an example of a black man with a good service record who really wants to continue serving and who would be hurt by this.

ALL the little tiny things that help no one, & just cause political problems

Well, there's no way to know if this is just playing to the base, or a manifestation of the belief that certain people are simply inferior and best left out of the military.

I guess it could be a bit of both, but we'll probably never know.

for which there is no real cure
Pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB) can be effectively managed and potentially cured through various treatment options, including laser therapy and proper grooming techniques.

I doubt that it would take too much effort to come up with several hundred of them.

The directive is clearly racist. But then, that's the signature of the Trump regieme.

Didn’t click on the link...are they allowing swastika tattoos? No surprise there.

Since it targets a condition that occurs largely amongst African American men, and has no medical or clinical reason to exist, it is clearly racist.

More BS like the phony Asthma inhaler scam. Oh poor me. We're being targeted again. SHUP with your hogwash. Follow the rules or get out.

For men who are required to, or simply prefer to shave, studies show the optimal length to be about 0.5 mm to 1 mm to prevent the hair growing back into the skin. Using a beard trimmer at the lowest setting (0.5mm or 1mm) instead of shaving is an efficient alternative

What next? Use electric and let then cut it mostly close as posted above.
