New Inflation Data Is Worse Than You Think

We will have disaster with Trump if he is not corralled.

Biden pulled us out of Trump's inflation crisis because he mismanaged Covid response and shipping.,

Trump will do much worse.
Biden has been a potato since at least 2019. Biden didn't do anything. That's why somebody's going to jail.

Some of the price increases, especially with beef, are weather related in that farmers and ranchers can't feed as many so we have the lowest number of cattle heading to market this year since the 1960's
~~~~~~
Plus that fact that Biden put pressure on farmer to reduce their livestock by cutting off grazing lands previous open.
You cannot immediately replace the numbers cattle lost within a year or two...
They can rationalize, and or ignore/deny, anything. It's freakish.
Well, seeing as CPI was not elevated in July, what do you expect? Consumers are not feeling inflation, unlike under Biden. They may see some later in the year, but not now.
that reminds me, here in chicago, the governor implemented an additional tax on gas two months ago. I didn't see one demofk screaming about the struggling poor then. That makes all prices go up.
In their minds, only the “rich” need gas because the poor don’t have cars.
Biden created shortage of treatments and brought in over 200000 infected illegals.
COVID was already killing hundreds of thousands when Biden took office
Most importers, in anticipation of Trump's tax hikes, frontloaded their import orders before those tariffs could kick in. This has resulted in a short-term delay in the cost of those tax hikes being passed on to all of us.
Now their frontloaded imports are depleted and they are suffering under the highest tax hike since 1933.
Sadly, the bulk of this massive tax hike fell on the middle class small businesses who are 97 percent of our importers.
And you, the consumer, are literally paying the price.
Wholesale prices rose 0.9% in July, much more than expected
“The fact that PPI was stronger-than-expected and CPI has been relatively soft suggests that businesses are eating much of the tariff costs instead of passing them onto the consumer,” said Clark Geranen, chief market strategist at CalBay Investments. “Businesses may soon start to reverse course and start passing these costs to consumers.”
.
May?
May soon reverse course?
They already have.
Any mom who is doing back-to-school shopping is already seeing higher prices for their children's school clothes because of Trump's tariffs.
All higher.
If you have found yourself echoing Trump's bragging about tariff revenue, I hope you all realize that came out of YOUR pocket.
That's something which the MAGA cult just can't seem to get through their hivemind.
TARIFFS ARE TAXES ON AMERICANS.
New York liberal Democrat Donald Trump has burdened you with the highest import taxes since 1933.
1933. When another lying New York Democrat was in the White House.
.
This is emptying your wallets and your purses, but thank GOD Trump gave himself and his cronies a tax break! They really needed it!
SQUIRREL!
So is August CPI going to be well above expectations? What if it isn’t?
I still find it hilarious that you folks are so sure that consumers bear the entire burden of tariffs. We have been told that large corporations are flush with cash and running on large margins. If that is the case, wouldn’t they undercut their competition who is using the tariff talk as an excuse to raise prices? They could afford to do so and nobody would buy the $2.00 widget when they could buy one for $1.50.
Also, it is beyond dense to think that other countries would introduce reciprocal tariffs against the US if they harmed their economies.
Did he rescue the entire world? Deaths were going down all over the world at that time.
AI Overview
COVID-19 deaths did increase during President Biden's time in office compared to the Trump administration, but this statistic requires additional context for a comprehensive understanding
.
Here's a breakdown of the number of deaths during each administration:
[th]
Administration
[/th][th]
Total COVID-19 Deaths
[/th][th]
Percentage of Total Deaths
[/th]
Trump465,04339% Biden713,48461%
Contextual Factors:
 • Duration of Presidency During the Pandemic: The COVID-19 pandemic was declared in early 2020. President Trump was in office during the initial phase of the pandemic (approximately January 2020 to January 2021). President Biden has been in office for a longer period of time since the virus emerged (January 2021 to the present).
 • Peak of the Pandemic: The worst month for COVID-19 deaths in the United States was January 2021, which includes the first 10 days of the Biden administration.
 • Availability of Vaccines and Treatments: While vaccines were developed under the Trump administration, they became widely available under the Biden administration. Additionally, the Biden administration increased investment in developing, manufacturing, and procuring COVID-19 treatments.
 • Evolving Behavior and Viral Variants: Over time, people's behaviors shifted, and the pandemic saw major spikes caused by the Delta and Omicron variants during the Biden administration.
 • Partisan Differences: Studies have shown that counties with higher vote shares for Donald Trump in the 2020 election have had higher COVID-19 death rates, and registered Republicans had higher excess death rates compared to Democrats. This gap was particularly pronounced after vaccines became widely available, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research. A contributing factor to this difference is that counties with a higher vote share for Trump have lower vaccination rates.
 • Declining Mortality Rates: Despite the higher cumulative death toll under Biden, the weekly COVID-19 mortality rate was lower on average during the period coinciding with his presidency, according to Science Feedback. Provisional data from the CDC indicates that COVID-19 dropped to the tenth leading cause of death in 2023, a significant decrease from 2022.
Conclusion:
While the total number of COVID-19 deaths is higher during President Biden's term, this figure needs to be considered within the broader context of the pandemic's trajectory, including the duration each president was in office, the timing of pandemic peaks, the development and rollout of vaccines and treatments, evolving behaviors, and the influence of political partisanship on vaccination rates.
