If America hits them and others with tariffs, it will result in America gaining revenue while Europe declines.

The E.U knows this and they are worried. If America broke off relations with Europe they risk losing NATO and would have to spend 100s of billions more in military spending EACH YEAR which would dwarf their tariff costs.

The VAT alone is an insult. I think Germany is something around 20% for the VAT alone. He is just all pumped from his victory, not realizing that he would be crushed in the next election if America turns their back, he just doesnt know it.

Like so many actions of Germany for two decades, they are lost and lack vision. Its why China crushed their EV market and hurt their manufacturing base in short order even after they saw what happened to the rest of the world.
