I got a notification about this forum being under new ownership. I often ignore such things, but it was detailed and mentioned things that only an owner might know. It seems legit, but then they offered me a mod position. Lol

I can't find it now, but the notification was by a user Jerry Can and his wife Sadie. The only thing I could think of is the long discussion I once had on a forum about jerry cans.
If you don't know, jerry can was this innovative gas dispenser often credited to the Germans in WWII. All of these guys were arguing about who developed it. The whole thread sort of became this running joke, and one mod changed his name to Wehrmacht-Einheitskanister (partially meaning the "standard cannister.")

lol I guess, but it looked more like a form post and not addressed to anyone. There was something like 200 people tagged in it.

Forums are all the same to me, so probably wouldn't matter. But it said the new ownership is supposed to take effect Jan. next year.
