New England's six states vote about 40 percent Republican, and have literally zero republican representatives

Just another demonstration of how Democrats have ZERO problem with gerrymandering when it benefits them.
You know that we showed evidence that GOP are doing it way worse and that those states have very little evidence of gerrymandering...

Maryland is one of those examples... Show us how that is gerrymandered, it presently has 1 GOP representative. If gerrymandered that would be none..
Vermont has only one Congressman...

NEwhampshire this is the districts

So how do you think it should have been divided up. Both districts got share population centres... Seems like a fair split...

Dems won by 5% and 8% on both districts...

If you go north south split you would have to split Manchester.

Shove it. We are Americans. Not globalists. We lead the world.
Well then stop complaining about not being represented... The US style of democracy is very very dated...

One man one vote has been put int he bin decades if not centuries ago because it isn't that democratic... As this thread is showing..

You can't read a map. Population centers---just like the left coast. STFU and rid your country of the British invaders. You seem to have failed at that as well.

It's none of your business busybody. How are those pesky British that you can't rid your island of doing?

Self serving stats. These stats from CA show the disparity more clearly. These stats suggest that 53% of California voters are represented by a mere 17% of representatives. Hmmm.

California's current congressional delegation consists of 52 representatives, with 43 Democrats and 9 Republicans. This reflects a Democratic majority in the state's representation in the U.S. House of Representatives. Wikipedia Ballotpedia

  • In our surveys over the past year, 47% of likely voters—registered voters who cast ballots frequently and are politically engaged—report that they are Democrats; 27% are Republicans, 24% are independents, and 2% are registered with other parties.
Seriously do you know how First past the post works....

If you are losing polls 47% to 27%, you are getting annihilated in elections with first past the post voting(one man, one vote)...
The winner takes all system , has the winner taking all.

The multi-seat voter preference system is suggested is about fairer representation... GOP would get more seats in California but Democrats would do better in Texas.
The other main think is that there would be more than two parties... Notice in Ireland that there was 11 parties running in one area with 5 seats...
The big thing about that system is that your vote isn't thrown away and preference is used on the next viable candidate.

If you are L

A senator isn't a House representative representing a congressional district.
The reason they have a Rino Senator is because her election is state wide.
This OP is about representatives.
Yeah, I know. I was merely pointing out that your theory doesn't apply to the Senate and that she is a RINO.

So New England states are smarter than MAGA, good to know.

WW

(Note: I said MAGA, not Republican. Those are two different things. You can be Republican, but not a MAGA cultist.)
No they are cesspools of woke ism and old white liberals, hippie liberals to be exact.

You don't have a clue as to how gerrymandering works, it is clear and I'm not going to waste my time educating you. So just run along, as I said, take care of your own problems---we don't want or need your help.

Sure, so successful that No. Ireland belongs to another country. Try again.

The people vote. Republicans run. And they lose. Sununu is the governor of New England State. A few years ago, there was a Republican governor in Maine. Stop crying.

And the State governments, controlled by Dems, make sure the districts line up so the Dems have the advantage in every single one.

I think that clearly illustrates democrat GERRYMANDERING! The left coast isn't far off of the same mark.
Oh ***** some more clown.
This is really something. New England's six states vote about 40 percent Republican, and have literally zero republican representatives in Congress.

ND, SD, AK, WY combined deserve 1 total Senator and 4 Total House Members.
Although, they each do have 1 Rep each to Congress.

Wrong in some many ways.
Yup, you called it, but ignore ND, SD, AK, and WY.

I wonder why?

Another fan of mob rule.

These States were ruined when their legislatures were forced to get rid of the geographical based upper houses (if they had them) Like NY was due to a crap interpretation of the 14th amendment that applies only to States, not the feds.

Another reason for a Constitutional convention.

With a strong large central government and a population that loves its free checks and benefits, this is huge. One side politically is in near total Progressive Socialist mode. The other side trails it and is demonized if they cut one dollar from a planned increase that is above the inflation rate. More efficiency is what we need without hurting people. A delicate balance that in our past we would laugh at people as America was, can do. If other China spent the same money on space program we do, we would notice it. And they get more value for the dollars spent. The latest I read on China is 12 billion dollars a year. NASA all of its department's total is spending 45 billion dollars this year. The astronauts are chomping at the bit to explore the solar system. It's time to take the training wheels off and turn space into a business.
