Reportedly an 'FBI agent' (unnamed) said there was sufficient grounds to open a civil rights probe into Ross. The Justice Department leadership shifted it away from that.
The Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanche, stated the incident did not warrant a federal civil rights investigation.
So, apparently the FACTS did not show Ross at fault for the shooting however they tried to concoct some kind of 'civil rights' case against him and we all know what a wide swath they could have used to nail Ross with no real evidence. Tracee Mergen basically got outed and probably resigned in disgrace.
