New Amendment Could Give Trump A Path To A Third Term In The White House

The scumbag fdr proved the danger of too many terms for a president. Washington got it right.

Well, here we go again—the left is in full meltdown mode after Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced a constitutional amendment that could open the door for President Trump to serve a third term in the White House. And honestly, why shouldn’t he? After four years of disastrous Biden policies, America could use another dose of strong, no-nonsense leadership.

Ogles’ amendment would allow a president to serve three terms as long as they aren’t consecutive, meaning Trump could take another shot at 2028. This setup mirrors the Grover Cleveland scenario—who, by the way, was the only president before Trump to win non-consecutive terms. But let’s be real: Cleveland didn’t exactly have Trump’s charisma, success, or ability to send the media into a tailspin with a single post.

The proposed amendment reads: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms…” In other words, Trump could theoretically make a comeback if this somehow made it through Congress

Now we are talking about passing some serious legislation.
That 12-year run could turn into 16

Woo Woo
Not gonna happen... you won't get 3/4 of the States to ratify prior to 2028...

Besides... by 2028, Trump will be 82 years old... he'll want at least a couple of years of down-time before he cashes-in his chips...

His best bet to continue his work will be to put his "Apprentice" approach into play...

With JD Vance or some other "worthy" as the beneficiary...

Somebody that can continue to press the Trump agenda and employ a Trump-like style...

But who will appeal to a broad spectrum... including Women, Young People, Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, Jews, etc...

Having an Apprentice means sharing the limelight and being content to pull the strings behind-the-scenes sometimes...

Turning-over more-and-more of the public-facing sideline work to the Apprentice as we get closer to the 2028 hand-over...

While continuing to take credit for the Big Ticket Items... but with the Apprentice very noticeable in the near-background...

Meanwhile... on-topic... there will almost certainly be no Amendment to the Constitution to grant Trump a third term...

Really?

His hardcore supporters have been talking around the idea of a constitutional amendment making him president for life

Really that it won't happen?
Oh... the Ameendment... OK... thx for clarifying...

To answer... at last count Republicans controlled an approximate 28 state legislatures...

You need 38 state legislatures (3/4 of 50 states) to ratify the Amendment before it actually becomes one...

Do you really-and-truly believe that the Republicans are gonna flip another 10 state legislatures in time prior to the 2028 election?

I don't... but your mileage may vary... :itsok:

Every one guesses, Depending on party preference. With never a thought on the harm done by picking by popularity
instead of a persons ability knowledge or education that enables them to do the job.

"...nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms…'

Still not a good idea. I want Trump to act like he has no worry of getting re-elected the next 4 years.
