I sold my old '90 Honda Four Trax in 2017 and have really been missing the plow set-up so I've been looking for one and the wife found me this Polaris one on our local FB yard sale site.....It was a 30 minute drive away.

It only has 192 hours and was serviced last week by the shop that used to service my old 4-wheeler.....Super clean for it's age and it was garage kept.

About the only thing is needs is a battery tie-down strap and a new gas cap 'cause the little plastic bubble on top is missing.

New battery
Dump bed....That's OK but I would have preferred a rack.
Front/side storage bins.
Winch
One lift pin plow drop. I love that, my old set-up was a PITA.

I gave $3300 for it and the guy's son loaded it up on his trailer and drove it to my home.

Nice find

Yeah, I found a 2004 Polaris 700 with the same plow set-up but it needed carb work and was not near as clean. He wanted $4200.00 for it....And that was in the ballpark!

Hard to believe what used 4-wheelers (4X4) go for today but hell, a new one is 10K+ now....Another 1.5K for the plow/winch set-up.

LOL.....I dropped the plow and drove it up the street.....It's got a whole lot more power than I was used to. Whoa boy! ;)

How times change. Back when I was a kid, you could buy a brand new, full sized automobile for a thousand dollars less.
The Honda I bought in '90 was about 2K with the plow.....Back then if you bought it in WV you did not have to pay Virginia sales tax.....$80.00 was a lot of money.....Like $188.00 now

Of course with inflation that 2K is worth $4,708.05.

^^^ Boomer ^^^

Tru dat. I remember the family across the street his dad having a late-sixties (1968?) Cadillac Eldorado (a beautiful car) and his son (my buddy) telling us his dad paid $4500 for it. Most of our dads had cars more in the $2500 range.

You could fill the trunk of the car with groceries for $30.00.

Yep. Gone are the days...
