Julia Ioffe, who describes herself as “Contributing writer at Politico Magazine and Highline, columnist at Foreign Policy,” posted the following message to Twitter Wednesday afternoon: “Either Trump is f—ing his daughter or he’s shirking nepotism laws. Which is worse?”

She linked a report from the Hill claiming Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, is getting a White House office space traditionally reserved for the first lady.

Bill Clinton is a proven degenerate; so Julia Ioffe’s sly charge of incest against Donald Trump demonstrates a lack of political savvy.

Ioffe didn’t indicate which “nepotism laws” Trump might be “shirking.”

Reporter: Is Trump ‘f—ing his daughter’?

Ioffe’s charge of nepotism is equally amateurish. Democrats own nepotism.

I posted a few observations on the history of nepotism over the years. My observations were connected to topics I was talking about at the time. I isolated nepotism in this message.

There is a relationship between nepotism and lifetime tenure at the public trough to consider. Nepotism is just one piece of common ground that Chinese Communists and American Socialists share although each group approaches it from a different perspective. Ancient Chinese culture and social customs surrounding the family allowed nepotism to evolve into a form of lifetime tenure that is practiced in Communist China today. Nepotism is the stronger force in China. American Socialism is just the opposite. Lifetime tenure is the stronger force in the U.S. If China manages to dump nepotism, their lifetime tenure will be then become as corrosive to their society as American Socialism’s application of nepotism is to ours.

The invention of civil servants gave representative forms of government modest success in discouraging nepotism; however, Socialism and Socialists gave old-fashioned nepotism a new lease on life in our government. When magazine publisher John F. Kennedy Jr. was killed in a plane crash, one report of the tragedy mentioned that there were eighty-five members of the Kennedy family in “government service.” The report did not say how many worked for the state of Massachusetts or how many worked for the federal govt.

Beneficiaries of tax dollars do not really care where it comes from; so let us not quibble over the matter. When any person with an IQ that soars higher than 9 applies a little common sense to such goings-on they will conclude that not a one of those Kennedy civil servants is toiling away at a low-paying job in the government’s basement; so I must ask “Exactly how many tax dollars does it take to keep the Kennedy family all warm and chic when they are not out playing touch football?”

Incidentally, it is no wonder the late Senator Ted Kennedy liked big government. Uncle Teddy never had to face a flock of chronically unemployed relatives hitting him up for a double-sawbuck every now and then.

Talking heads used to tell us that the Kennedy family is American royalty. That was frightening if true when you count the number of Kennedy clan members that have a key to the public larder. What is even more frightening is Hillary Clinton coming within a whisker of the presidency. Had she made it to the White House on her own her first act in office would have safely ensconced eighty or ninety of her relatives in lifetime tenured “government service” jobs. Media would then tell us that the Clinton family is American royalty? Royalty seems more appropriate than calling them a dynasty:

Buzz is already building that budding TV journalist and former first daughter Chelsea Clinton will enter politics and become the first-ever woman president of the United States.

The first female president slot was always reserved for Hillary Clinton. She flopped; so it is only fair the reservation be willed to Chelsea along with the family silver.

“. . . an Obama expert who advises Fortune 500 firms on communications has bluntly predicted a continuation of the Clinton dynasty.”

And it is interesting that dictatorships like North Korea have dynasties? while the United States is the only Western democracy that elects dynasties.

nepotism (noun)

Favoritism shown or patronage granted to relatives, as in business.

Nepotism in business I can understand. There is nothing wrong with a family business. Nepotism in government is another ball game.

The definition of nepotism went off the chart when Ma & Pa’s influence got Chelsea’s job at NBC:

She also recently surprised friends when she joined NBC News as a special correspondent. Many had presumed that her family's often acid relations with the media would repel her from the industry.

Acid relations? Give me a break! Had the constitutionally protected press done its job the late Ted Kennedy would not have been a Senator for 47 years, Obama would not be president, and the Clintons would have been run out of politics in 1996 if not sooner.

The call for term limits is also related to nepotism. Socialists, conspiring with their friends in the Ministry of Propaganda, want term limits imposed on elected officials, but not on themselves or their relatives. The XVII Amendment proved that no Socialist ever talked about term limits until after they had jobs in federal and state bureaucracies.

Term limits for bureaucrats would wipe out nepotism that is today’s bastion of Socialism. Socialist families realize that they are safe in their protectorates as long as there is a nepotism-friendly atmosphere in Washington, but in a representative form of government they still must fear that day when non-Socialist elected officials will turn them out. Term limits were designed to limit the effectiveness of those elected officials who will take office determined to dismantle Socialism.

Incidentally, I agree with term limits for the president because too much power in the hands of one person for any length of time is always dangerous. The fact that Socialists can lay a hand on all of that presidential power to begin with, as the Clintons and Obama did, is all the more reason to place term limits on the presidency. When the day arrives for that first president to openly attack domestic Communism/Socialism, eight years is long enough to launch a few clean surgical strikes aimed at Socialism’s strongholds. Presidents who take office after Socialism is on the run can pick off the stragglers.

Under Socialism/Communism nepotism insures incomes for families as sure as monarchies did the same thing. That is not the same as saying that families in government will have to do a whole lot of actual work; it simply says that every generation will have an income.

Insofar as the private sector goes: Slavery always guarantees low unemployment figures. Whether or not a private sector job under Communism pays anyone enough to buy the creature comforts that we all hope to acquire is not open for debate as failed Socialists paradises have shown. Only a fool will work hard under Socialism, while parasites will figure out how to do no work at all knowing that their jobs are secure. In time, it is those freeloaders who will take charge of every Socialist society.

Basically, nepotism must benefit generation after generation in order to guard against a better life in the private sector becoming better than a life the lowest-level Socialist in government enjoys.

Nepotism is also the curse of capitalism. Youngsters knowing that nepotism will give them lifetime tenure at the public trough undermines their drive to excel, to achieve, to acquire society’s rewards through enlightened desire, and individual effort. Lifetime tenure at the public feed tub also destroys voluntary charity and replaces it with government compassion which is always coerced at best.

Nepotism was incorporated in the American Labor Movement

Right from the beginning one had to be well-connected to get in a good union. To this day most of the high paying union jobs are passed down from father to son or a blood relation. That form of labor union nepotism was practiced by white Americans before federal and state intervention in the workplace. Nepotism is now used just as effectively by minorities against the majority. The government’s interference in the workplace changed two things. It reversed who got screwed, and it made every level of the workplace dependent upon government patronage.

Bottom line: Any person who does not hold a high paying union job has no reason to vote for candidates who support private sector and civil service labor unions.

The pals of my youth were at least honest albeit lazy. More often than not they had a family member who could “get them in.” I am talking about the years before the parasite class grew to its current size; encompassing many millions who cannot pass themselves off as civil servants by any stretch of the imagination. Nowadays, retiring to a soft touch job in a bloated government bureaucracy is damn near respectable when compared to the parasites in the education industry. In fact, nepotism has become a culture all its own.

There is another piece of evidence to support my claim of nepotism monarchy. Putting the Kennedy clan’s old-fashioned nepotism aside, the reports of how elected officials are routing big bucks to their kinfolk by using lobbying firms, special legislation, influence peddling and so on, amounts to an American variation of ancient nepotism.

“To the manner born” was the major condemnation of monarchies. Our growing parasite class to the manner born enjoy the same tax benefits and protections nepotism gave their counterparts in European monarchies of olde.

NOTE: When you get right down to it, America’s practitioners of nepotism are made from the same philosophical mold that produced Napoleon Bonaparte and Saddam Hussein. Literal idiots born to govern comes to mind. Contemporary nepotism not only perverts the procedure for becoming a civil servant, civil service itself has turned into a joke every time anyone claims they are going into government because they want to give something back. Many immigrants dive into the public trough as soon as they get here; so I have to ask just what it is they want to give back?

Based on everything I heard educated immigrants say on the talkies over the years, I just as soon their children not give anything back. The more they gave back the more their personal fortunes grew. Just look at how many tax dollars are being directed to the family-owned businesses of elected representatives like Senator Feinstein and Speaker Pelosi, and they are only the ones who got caught. Throw in rampant nepotism and you have to figure that representation has become a family business for parasites. The danger is in allowing people hired through nepotism to feed at the public trough in the first place.

Politicians have always been crooks. A mature public understands that confining a modicum of nepotism to one generation, respectable shakedowns, and taking a bribe now and then will always be part of a politician’s God-given license. In the laid-back days of yore the unwritten contract between politicians and the little people said “Take a little and leave a little.” The way nepotism is going these days society would be better off if politicians steal a little more and give their sisters, cousins, and aunts cash rather than a job.

Today’s elected thieves remind me of an old joke:

It seems that a new bartender was hired by the gin mill owner’s wife. Being a man of the world, the owner decided to check on the barkeep before introducing himself. So he went to his own place of business and sat at the bar posing as a customer.

During the course of the evening the owner noticed that the bartender would periodically put half of what he collected from a patron in the cash register and the other half in his own pocket. The owner also saw that the new mixologist had a winning way with the customers. All things considered he concluded that he could live with a little larceny.

After a few hours of watching the half and half ritual the owner noticed that the bartender seemed puzzled as he stood at the cash register trying to decide what to do with the money in his hand. Instead of the usual fifty-fifty split the bartender decided to put all of the money in his pocket. It was then that the owner introduced himself by asking “Ain’t we partners no more.”

Big city political machines turned nepotism into an art form. Nepotism has been part of American political life for so long it is not stretching it too far to say that titles like senator have finally become titles of nobility. Prior to the tax on personal income nepotism was an unavoidable evil but controllable. Thanks to the XVI and XVII Amendments nepotism grew in leaps and bounds.

Rank and file parasites who vote for the practitioners of nepotism think they are getting something for nothing when all they do is advance the evils of monarchy minus the benefits.

Finally, here is a seldom-mentioned connection between parasites and nepotism: Nobody gives a deserving relative a lousy job. Nepotism survives because parasites get soft touch jobs; often no-show “employment.” The puzzle is why those who work hard for their money do not object to supporting lazy parasites?
