Neil Diamond

Always liked him. Never knew what category to put him in, he was pretty diverse in song writing to be typed. Pop, alt rock, classical, gospel, jazz, he hit on every one of those.

Neil Diamond is a poet. A brilliant, talented poet.

Yes. My granddaughter took a course in music history that covered how the lyrics of almost any of his songs had patterns where any of them could written in several genres musically and still not sound forced or awkward. Several melodies would fit.

Neil Diamond's a unique one. Kind of like Tom Jones or..Manilow.

I still remember his Marielito song. That's what the song's about, too. It's really an epic anthem.

It makes me really sad that things are so different now than they were then in America. :(

Makes me remember how free people were back then and how we are not so much now.

The things he said in the song rang true back then. I don't think it would fly today.

I got his greatest hits downloaded into my vehicle.

I was surprised at a recent wedding that the young crowd knew one of his songs Sweet Caroline and had a dance for it.
