Now he shouldnt govern on polls alone but this may be a surprising level of support for Trumps tariffs. From NBC no less where one might assume it would be far lower. Highest % since 2004 and it comes at a time when Trump has to deal with international pressure to get rid of tariffs. These countries KNOW that the U.S is going to recovered 100s of thousands of manufacturing jobs plus other jobs they support due to these tariffs.
I see Canadian premiers, mayors and everyone spending millions to go on TV and try and pressure U.S citizens, politicians and media to get Trump to drop the tariffs. Instead he basically builds the wall 10 feet higher if countries try to hurt the U.S in retaliation, and the reciprocal tariffs haven't even hit yet.
He is going to raise 100s of billions for the U.S treasury, plus cut costs which is going to definitely drop inflation. If he can maintain salaries or a slight increase in wages + decrease tax contributions from citizens, your consumer base will be strong.
I'm not sure of the feasibility for credit card interest relief, but if Trump can negotiate that with these companies, it would be massive for his mid term prospects.
