I don't necessarily like parity, but my understanding is that some teams and drivers just ran away with everything during yesteryear. The Daytona announcers were talking about a race some time in the 1970s. They said this driver lapped the entire field. I can't imagine being a fan at that yawner.NASCAR just ain't what it used to be back in the day.
I don't watch i any more. I couldn't even tell you who the teams and drivers are these days.
But he has not finished high since he went part-time. He had his heyday and mostly finishes well outside the top 15 now. That's why 3rd was a surprise. OTOH, Daytona and Talladega often have those types of results. For what ever reason Jimmy Johnson will always show up in the top finishers or winners circle. Once he gets in front he will stay there like David Peirson back in the past. So just go outside and throw the football around.![]()
Wallace was on the third lane, which did not have enough cars. They could not get momentum and Wallace fell back. He then was caught up in a wreck and, I think, finished three laps down.Ok, How come with 15 laps to go bubba wallace was in first, seamed to have firm control of the pole and then all of the sudden drops out of sight out of mind. Did he just choke or did his car start having problems
it just seamed super strange
As long as bubba Wallace loses I'm a fanFor what ever reason Jimmy Johnson will always show up in the top finishers or winners circle. Once he gets in front he will stay there like David Peirson back in the past. So just go outside and throw the football around.
For todays drivers I keep up with Blaney.
Would have been cool to see brother Kurt in that race. Looks like he was busy in the Australian race, where he went 1 win and 1 loss. His drunk driving plea in North Carolina last year didn't help him much either.Las Vegas up next. Let's see if Busch gets a little hometown motivation to end his long winless streak.
Kurt is still a hothead.Would have been cool to see brother Kurt in that race. Looks like he was busy in the Australian race, where he went 1 win and 1 loss. His drunk driving plea in North Carolina last year didn't help him much either.
I hope he comes back for a race or two. Only in his mid-forties, I think. Fans warmed up to him as he got older.
