It does not matter if the results of DEI are aerospace agendas that become massively expensive. Their Space Launch Rocket System with the Orion space capsule built for deep space human missions at this point will only launch once a year due to the extreme costs to do so. NASA has some containment on budget and rules to get parts from every state and politicians who use it as a gem of government and change programs on whims. NASA from what you typed has not sent a human into space since 2011.

NASA should hire the best and brightest, regardless of skin color or sexuality. It's a fundamental American principle, and it has been illegal in the US to discriminate in all aspects of employment on the basis of race or gender for 60 years.

Need to do some housecleaning there, and eliminate their entire huge racist, waste-of-taxpayer-money Office of Diversity.

Yes, in the ideal world NASA would be hiring the best. But they don't live in an ideal world. They live in a world full of bigotry, where people are born into situations that give them a huge advantage or disadvantage, and race plays a part.

People are trying to make things more equal, and yet there are those bigots who don't want things to be more equal.

When it comes to being gay, it's none of anyone's business who someone sleeps with (as long as it's consenting adults) and yet it becomes a HUGE part of the electoral process when the right start using "family values" to attack gay people.

No, the US needs to change. The bigotry needs to be attacked so that kids grow up tolerating others, not learning to be bigots so they can train the next generation.
