NASA: Earth Tops Hottest 12 Months On Record Again, Thanks To Warm February

Ian, are you serious? When water evaporates, it takes up energy from the environment. When it condenses out as rain, it releases energy. So that energy is released in the atmosphere within ten days of the evaporation of the water. That is a net gain of energy in the atmosphere.

We just went through the coldest winter in 75 years, more snow than the last 40 years, and somebody wants to tell us it was hot.
Really? Do you always tell lies? You had a cold winter, we had no winter here at all.

Winter 2014-2015 Temperatures

This map highlights states in which the winter months (Dec. 2014 through Feb. 2015) placed among the 10 warmest since records began in 1895. No state had a top-10 coldest winter.

That's Weather, not Climate

Notice the Decline Hider can point to any story of the Weather Channel and blame it on whatever they're calling it these days: Global Cooling, Global Warming, Climate Change, Climate disruption, etc.

Dumb ****, the receding glaciers, disappearing Arctic Sea Ice, and the melting of the Greenland and Antarctic Ice Caps are the critical experiment.

So what are we supposed to do about that Ray???

Seriously?
Seriously? Quit digging the hole deeper. Start studying and implementing ways to remove CO2 from the atmosphere. And prepare for the inevitable sea level rise. We have at present 30 t0 50 years of warming built into the system. That is going to happen irregardless of what we do. Prepare for what is inevitable, and prevent as much damage as we can by reversing the increase of GHGs in the atmosphere.

Ray......that's dodging the question.

How do we "reverse" the increase? What are the specifics?

Nobody in your camp has any solution to this that is at all practical. That's a problem. Costs just cant be conveniently ignored!!

Banning fossil fuels? Zero chance............and frankly, the government screwing with the atmosphere.........THATS what all of us should be concerned about.

the bottleneck is at the surface. once above the cloudtops the IR escapes much more easily.

OMG, we are all going to DIE. NASA is becoming another worthless Government agency that is sucking the money and life out of us

so what do you suggest we do. all move into caves sell all our possesions, kill off a couple billion people?

for crying out loud. this government is nothing anymore but, wailing fear mongering
Hey Staph, any other ways in which you care to demonstrate the depths of your ignorance?
why don't you answer her question? She asked if we're supposed to live in caves. You didn't respond. Why? you have no response right?

perhaps more to the point.....CO2 doesnt create more energy, it does have the ability to change equilibrium temperature at the various altitudes of the pathway out for radiation.

Snow is a thing of the past

Cat 5 hurricanes will strike the US Sout east more frequently

Your just one failed prediction after another. You're only accurate on a retroactive basis

Bull shit New york set all time cold records, fact all the northeast set snow and cold records,we had 6 degrees yesterday, very cold for this time of year.
Looks like your magical link is a fail.

but he is telling you you did not experience that. Nope it was hot, hotter than eva. He does that because he is very messed up.

jc, why do you and Steph think people should live in caves?

Look, if you deniers want to go live in caves, just do so. You probably should, given how you're demanding everyone else live in a cave. Set a good example. Show you're not hypocrites.

as always, you have trouble following the yellow brick road. If it were my question, then your post would make sense, but since you left the yellow brick road, you have become the cowardly lion and avoided answering the poster, and instead, as usual, drifted away.

So, did you answer the question from the other poster or not? Nope! You have no path forward, merely mumbo jumbo that you post up on a message board daily. Me, I have stated my position. You don't seem to have one. Please enlighten me on your position.

jc, quit evading. It's not a tough question, and crying your eyes out at me isn't an answer

Why do you keep saying people should live in caves?

Any denier, feel free to jump in and answer. Why do so many deniers here advocate living in caves?

I think you should run to the Emrald City because you need some courage. Again your move is noted. you do not wish to answer the posters question and instead post mumbo jumbo. Dude/ dudette, I'll answer any question you wish about a cave if you can prove I ever stated such a thing. I know you can't, but please share with us your next evasion position. It's fun to watch you dance. The wizard at the city may like it.

Okay, so now you _don't_ want to live in a cave.

Is that decision permanent, or will you soon flip back to criticizing any non-cave-dwellers?

hahahaha

Edit; hey....chuckle, chuckle, will you ever answer Steph's question or remain a moron? Just curious.

15th post
Too funny;
Winter has dropped 2.26 degrees F over the Northern hemisphere over the last ten years yet some how we are magically the hottest ever recorded..

Screen_shot_2014_03_23_at_7_37_56_AM.png

And the Northern Hemsiphere has cooled ...

US CLIMATE REGIONS MONTH OF FEBRUARY temperature anomaly changes since 1998 OR 18 WINTERS per NOAA CLIMATE AT A GLANCE

7 out of 9 regions show a dramatic rate of decline except WEST and NORTHWEST
• OHIO VALLEY -6.1 F/ DECADE
• UPPER MIDWEST -7.5 F/ DECADE
• NORTH EAST -4.4 F/ DECADE
• NORTHWEST + 0.8 F/ DECADE
• SOUTH -3 F/ DECADE
• SOUTHEAST -.2.3 F /DECADE
• SOUTHWEST -0.3 F/ DECADE
• WEST + 2.1/ DECADE
• NORTHERN ROCKIES & PLAINS -4.2 F/DECADE

SO major portions of the NH are cooling yet some how we are the hottest ever?

The shit smell from the hottest ev'a is robust..

WRONG: ( as usual)

Atmospheric convection cycle class for a moron..
Heat is absorbed by H2O in one of its various forms and becomes vapor. It then begins to ascends in the atmosphere. At the top of the Troposphere it cools releasing its heat in all directions as it nucleates. Only abut 17% of the heat released is released towards the earth.

SO tell me Old Crock, what amount of heat is lost to space? Greater than 95 % of the heat in the convection cycle is released to space.

(note: Water vapor resonates at a much lower frequency in the IR spectrum as it cools while ascending, so it will not be affected by CO2 at high altitude. There is a log formula for this)

Mars 96% CO2 atmosphere, no runaway Greenhouse effect...weird
