Name ideas for a Christmas pup

I got my dog from the humane society...I laid down with her on my floor and pet her...and kept asking her "What is your name"?

After about 30 minutes I heard "My name is LADY papa".

I said out loud "LADY"...and she looked at me with eyes the size of dinner plates and I heard "YOU HEARD ME"???

I said out loud "Yes LADY...I heard you".

Her tail went THUMP THUMP THUMP against the floor.

She looks like a Sally to me.

"Giving" a dog a name is a problem for me. My first adopted dog had a name that he was given by his owner from puppyhood, so no problem. My second adopted dog had a name that was given to her by the shelter, so we know it was not really her name, if she ever had one. She really answered to any name -- once she started to dash into the street and I hollered at her, using my old dog's name out of habit, and she responded just fine.

My third dog, adopted, was surrendered by a family that had her for several years, so the name really was her name.

It's a puzzling business. If we could see animals as they live in their wild lives, why would we assume they had words with with which to represent each other?

how old is the son, and is he a Frozen fan?

(thnking Elsa, or Anna. Maybe Belle?)
He's 33. He's got a beagle named Copper and is former military. Just any cute name for a girl pup that is Christmasy. He has NO idea I'm doing this. Every time I ask him what he wants, he always tells me "nothing".

I personally think you should let your son name her. It can take a few tries before you find one that sticks.
That's the goal, to let him name her, but I know my kid and he's going to ask me for suggestions. LOL
