I agree….help me out here.
OK. Tell her there has never been a VP in modern history that made America Better. That is not what a VP actually does, if we are lucky. The position has been described as useful as a warm bucket of spit. All spotlight but no authority, except in presiding over the Senate. Useful as a training position to see how decisions are made, deals are cut, sometimes giving input, never getting credit for the input (good or bad), but, like a military Executive Officer position, very valuable for first hand training of how somebody else did it, (good or bad).
Her record of wins as an Alameda county Prosecutor was successful enough for her to be described as "an able prosecutor on the way up". [Wikipedia] San Francisco District attorney recruited her to "chief of the Career Criminal Division, supervising five other attorneys, where she prosecuted
homicide,
burglary,
robbery, and
sexual assault cases—particularly
three-strikes cases."[Wikipedia] Ran for San Francisco District Attorney and won in 2002. In 2007 ran unopposed, obviously winning again. Created a program for convicts (mostly drugs) re-entering society, that of participants had a 10% recidivism rate, compare to the 53% normal rate. Elected California Attorney General, 2010. Re-elected 2014 with 58% of the vote. "During her second term, she expanded her focus on consumer protection, securing major settlements against corporations like
Quest Diagnostics,
[60] JPMorgan Chase,
[61] and
Corinthian Colleges,
[62][63] recovering billions for California consumers."[Wikipedia], so there were some benefits to Californians.
