WOW! what a crazy world we live in where Star Trek is better than Star Wars.
(I'm not commenting on the new Star Wars, I haven't seen it yet)
I think the reason the Star Wars movies were screwed up, is the same reason the country is screwed up, ...The left-wing likes Star Trek better.
If you think about it, Star Wars is a realistic good vs evil and science gone wrong, where as , Star Trek is politically correct , and deals with the subjects that people turned into "science", like dimensions, time travel, and all kinds of other BS that doesn't exist and will never happen.
Star Trek had brilliant casting , while Lucas insisted on casting people who never had an acting lesson. Lucas has other projects and I think he agreed to let them destroy Star Wars for political reasons.
The new movie is going to be marketed until people feel ill when there hear the title , Star Wars.
meanwhile, Spock has been elevated to god-like status.
"Live long and prosper" - Spock
"Live long and thrive" - Kaiser Permanente.
"Thrive" - Kaiser Permanente.
