But I have no idea how to delete old PMs?

I hate to let them go. I'm like that.

But still...I need to get rid of some.

Check off the little square box on the right of a PM and you will see that it gets highlighted blue and the word "moderated" written on it.

From there go to the drop box at the bottom of the page and select "delete"

You can do this for multiple PMs at time.

(and dont forget to delete you sent items too)

you have been here 2 years and you haven't deleted messages before?

I've actually been here longer than two years. I was here, then left for a while, then re-joined.

But I want to create a FOLDER so I can save all my pms in case I ever need to use them! Not that I ever re-visit old PMs, but there could be some good stuff in there to use in a book or an article or something.

For informational purposes only, of course.

Then save them to a folder.

I delete them all, have deleted sevearl thouasnd by now.

Inbox contains 4 messages.
You have 4 messages stored, of a total 5,000 allowed. (Empty Folder)
<-- That's right at the top of your screen when you go to your IN Box. Click empty folder, and it deletes them all at once. Go to "SENT Items", and do the same.

Become a supporting member.

Your PM box capacity will increase from 1,000 to 5,000.

The little check box to the right of the PM in the folder list, check that and then at the bottom is the "action" list (bottom right). Select delete then click on "Go". Also, your "sent" messages are probably taking up space, I forget to delete mine all the time. At the top click on that list, select "Sent Items" to get there (you may have to click "Go" next to it). ;)

Sorry for late reply.

I think just moving them to a folder still uses up space, so I don't think that will solve your space problem.

Check the ones you want to save just in case you need them. Go to the bottom and in that box where it says 'move to folder', drop down to 'download as text' (or something like that). Then you can save them to your hard drive at home. Then, do the same for those same PMs you just saved and select 'delete' from that same drop down here, so that you can save space in your inbox.

I think we should all send her a pm just to say "good morning" and fill her box. It will force her to use the delete function. :D

Then she won't be able to use all those pm's against us in the future.

I have 811 of 5,000 PM Slots Filled...

Is there a way to Break Down by Poster the Stats on your PMs?...

:)

peace...

Yes. It's really easy.

Just print out all of the PMs.

Make a list of the posters and keep track of their posts with check marks.

Then, count the check marks.

Three easy steps!
