Filled his insulin last month for $10.00.

Picked up his refill at Dillons Pharmacy today for nearly $800.00.

Happened to encounter him at the store, said howdy just to be neighborly, and caught an earful. For some reason he was under the impression it was everyone else's prescriptions that were gonna go up, not his.

My reply?

This is what you voted for, tough shit.

I do actually kinda feel for the guy though. He's retired and this is gonna put a huge dent in his finances.

Such is the ignorance and stupidity of Trump voters.

Insulin costs will be capped in 2023, but most people with diabetes won't benefit

The Inflation Reduction Act's insulin cap will apply only to people on Medicare, leaving behind more than 21 million people in the U.S. who may need the lifesaving drug.

Di the GOP led Congress try and address that?

The Facts About the $35 Insulin Copay Cap in Medicare

In a recent post on his social media platform, Donald Trump claimed credit for lowering insulin copayments to $35 for “millions of Americans,” stating – inaccurately – that President Biden had “nothing to do with it.” This brief walks through the facts about actions taken under both the Trump and Biden Administrations related to capping insulin copayments for people with Medicare and explains the differences between their approaches.

But 20% or so of people with Medicare do not have Part D, which means they are not so clearly protected.[11] Medicare Parts A and B do not cover most prescription drugs, and Part C (“Medigap”) plans vary on their coverage of insulin.

LOL yea sure.

Trump has not gotten rid of Medicare’s $35 cap on insulin prices....

I suspect, EVEN IF TRUE, the guy had an insurance misstep. It happens.

I had a weird one the other day....A RX I usually pay $3.00 for was $285.00!

Turns out they filled it with a generic when they were not supposed to. I declined it and picked it up the next day.....$3.00 as usual.

Oh, it's gonna get worse for a whole lot of Trump voters. Higher taxes, higher cost of healthcare, higher cost of goods, removal of government programs, quite a few that service people who voted for Trump.

Either your neighbor is getting ripped off by the pharmacy, or you are lying:

Key initiatives by former President Joe Biden, such as the $35 monthly cap on insulin, the $2000 annual OOP cap on prescription drugs, and Medicare’s authority to negotiate drug prices under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), remain unaffected by Trump’s executive actions.
