Now that the city's new liquor store is settling in, a completely clueless local population is apparently happy with the city’s DEI policies as long as the booze keeps flowing. The bizarre conclusion of city leadership that local citizens weren’t drinking enough liquor led to the placement of a new larger liquor store in the Market Basket Plaza just shy of the city line.
City denizens comprise a steady flow of thirsty customers many of whom are sick with the infirmities of age and on a cascade of prescription drugs. The destruction of livers, kidneys, and brains makes for population set up for the advancement of city DEI policies, and while the rest of the country rises against massive corruption in Washington, city voters are not just half in the bag on state ethanol, they are staggeringly all-in on DEI initiatives pushed by city leadership and the local liberal arts college. Whether they are aware of this is anyone’s guess. That is, as long as happy hour continues.
Is this planned? It sure looks like it. It isn’t known if the city medical center is butchering confused patients with elective surgery to change their biological sex, but based on city politics, can this be ruled out? The city's local woke media certainly would not investigate anything that would interfere with its new-world-order “sustainability” agenda and its habit of acting as public relations for DEI remains unchanged. Fentanyl that escaped into the community from the medical center was quickly moved to the back pages by local media and many local imbibers have no idea that a two-million-dollar fine was levied against the hospital.
You have to hand it to city leadership and its media. Keeping the locals so drunk they will not understand what is happening is certainly effective. I have to say what I see, and I still say that city should be studied as an example of failed-state philosophy. It is funny right up until I read the obituary page and see my peers there. I don’t know, maybe they died happy. You can’t make a new world order omelet without breaking eggs I guess. Bread and circuses forever!
