“Essentially, Musk is trying not to upset his millions of fans, who have made him a new conservative hero, while also trying not to scare away the advertisers that have remained loyal to Twitter.” ibid

Clearly fomenting rightwing racism, bigotry, and hate is bad for business.

Advertisers are neither liberal nor conservatives – their sole ideology is profits, and the increasing thereof.

And businesses are not going to spend advertising dollars on a social media platform that panders to a minority of racist, bigoted conservatives – that’s a losing business model.
