IMO, it is largely a lost cause.

I have been on this forum for many many years, and have seen how intellects on the right and left operate, and from where they have come, and their backgrounds.

You go to any large university, and you see what types of programs attract folks from the right, and what types of programs attract those whose minds are attracted to left type thinking.

Most right leaning thinkers are attracted to STEM and business colleges. OTH, those from the left, are tending to get their education, in the arts and social sciences.

There might be some overlap in political science and economics, but, the way they view the world, tend to be radically different.

You can't create a viable counter-narrative, or counter industry, when, there really isn't the expertise, or talent pool, among folks that are attracted to that counter narrative types of thinking. Right brained folks just tend to be less logical, and more emotion based.

Now, there are a few brilliant individuals, polymaths if you will, that tend to be neither left or right, which have the talent, but then, they will support neither political position. They can be comfortable in either world.

This is why multi-media tends to be very left-wing, and it always has been. OTH, economics and politics, due to its very nature, attracts folks of all minds.

That's just my observation on that.

Anyone that has studied a broad array of subjects, and has had scholar friends in many fields will have noticed this trend.

On the one hand, critical theory, and going back to Kant's justification of knowledge, attempts to break down tropes of what we believe we think we know about how society, politics and economics operate.

OTH, a lot of times, it glosses over, and makes many fallacious arguments because, yes, IT DOES, have implicit political goals, rather than just a pure examination of the epistemological roots of knowledge.

For example, take the following very good example of how, "privilege," in American society operates, this is a good example of critical theory, and about what you believe you know, versus reality.



Now, this demonstration, is clearly trying to make this problem all about RACE. But, any intelligent observer, would know, all of these problems are not specific, and not caused by, or faults of any action of the IN-Group. But it is a slickly designed piece of propaganda designed to make it look like these problems are ONLY affecting the Out-Group. But most intelligent folks KNOW that all these problems also affect the In-group. The point though, is that yes, they do, disproportionately affect Out-Groups.

Critical Theory, epistemological Justification, is sometimes used as a weapon to try to remodel entire societies.

They will also do this with any number of OUT-groups. But, it is simply a composition fallacy. It takes instances that exist as problems of some individuals and minority experiences, and use that as an empirical justification to socially engineer society, without the acknowledgment that these exist for INDIVIDUALS, which might also exist for individuals of the IN-group. Which, they certainly do.

In my opinion Trog is spot on with his statement. Woke infested BLM spewed & exhibited the same hateful/violent speech/antics that the KKK did during their day & era. Woke, BLM & antifa exhibit a marxism mentality of revolution for the sake of revolution which equals war for the sake of war which is death to humanity. WESTWALL just made a poor pick on words(we ALL occasionally do that) regarding that post, he would have been better said to have stated "BLM are just like the nazi's" which he would then have been absolutely correct. Again, EvilCatBreath is partially incorrect in wordage as well as his/her 'target'. ECB should have said "The statist left remind me of Hitler's mentality". Please try to remember that our board members are not perfect in their creation like we ALL learn from quality discourse with our fellow board members. We rank & file board members are blessed to have both the quality crew & low profile moderators that moderate only when absolutely necessary.
