When it comes to being simultaneously pessimistic and funny Girkin has truly outdone himself this time:

“Our truly outstanding military successes over the 3-plus years of war could not but affect our international status, and we can now truly communicate "on equal terms" with such powerful countries as Mali, Nigeria, the Central African Republic, Chad, etc.

The time will come when we will have completely equal relations with Haiti and/or Honduras (although I am not entirely sure about Honduras). As St. Patriarch Tikhon used to say: "Holy chrism according to the relics!"

If our stunning military victories continue at the same pace for some length of time, then the neighboring states (like Estonia, Finland, and Azerbaijan, not to mention Turkey, Romania, and Poland), embittered by the gaping peaks of our growing (downward) prestige, may foolishly try to repeat the experience of the so-called “Ukraine” and “seek death” on Russian battlefields…
