MISSOURI CITY, Texas — A USPS employee was shot and killed at a Missouri City processing facility last night, according to police. Another employee has been taken into custody.
Police said employees were evacuated from the USPS regional processing facility, located on Highway 90 East, around 10 p.m. Monday night. Employees were reportedly told to run after an active shooter fired shots inside the facility.

Authorities told KHOU 11 it was a coworker who opened fire on the victim. They said they don't yet know the motive for the shooting.
A USPS assistant inspector with the Houston division said their top priority was making sure no one else got hurt.
"That individual is in custody and that community is safe," said Assistant Inspector Dana Carter. "Part of our partnership with [the Missouri City Police Department] is not only conduct a very thorough investigation, but make sure we protect the community at large, as well as our employees."

This is that exact same facility that could not get the mailed sorted for delivery back in 2023. We were afraid they would goof up mail/package delivery again in 2024, and they have now done just that.

They sort the mail for the Houston area.

last year 2023 - now employees are murdering each other in 2024.

Tracking stopped on December 11, 2023 and nothing got delivered for Christmas, New Years, well into February. People who were shipping items for the Oscars had to make other arrangements as packages for the Oscars awards show were just sitting at this facility.

Mail in Virginia sucks. I have watched on tracking packages get to Virginia fast AF and then just sit for days and days at the same facility.

modernize?.....lol.....as long as the USPS has to get permission from the various postal commissions and Congress to "modernize"...those modernizations are sometimes still behind the times when they get put into play....
