People with weakened immune systems due to pre existing comorbid conditions are always going to get little or no benefit from vaccines.

According to the most recent numbers from the state Department of Health and Human Services, a total of 52 percent of COVID patients in hospitals were at least fully vaccinated.

52% of how many people and how many are admitted for something else but testing positive vs the number of those who are actually admitted for Covid caused illness?

Looking at the NC HDpt figures.

Only 524 cases hospitalized in the entire state and no mention of whether they are just patients testing positive with other chief complaints vs those with serious/critical Covid illness.

If you ever get to 100% vaccination for any disease 100% of your new patients with that disease are going to be vaccinated.

It doesn't mean the vaccines are not working, it just means people are testing positive and some are getting ill despite the vaccine which has been the case with every communicable disease for which we vaccinate.

82% of their new cases are Omicron BA.2 variant so there's really nothing to worry about for 99% of the population even though the vaccines are only about 85% effective against that variant because of the extremely low rate of serious/critical disease resulting for Omicron infections.
