This is the 3rd Tu-22 that they've lost this year. It's a 40 (made in USSR Empire) year old airframe, not getting great maintenance these days.
they're relying on ancient planes, that they can't even build new planes , and one of those planes crashed FAR away from the battle? Things ain't looking great for Putin and his empire....
