I want to do something for my fitness and health
Im older (1983 birth year) , morbidly obese and heavy smoker
I want to lose weight and stop smoking maybe as a treat like 10 cigarretes a day still alot but now i smoke over fourty

What should you bring? • Comfortable workout clothes • A towel • Something to drink We train barefoot, so you don't need indoor shoes. Best, Johannes
 
Today is my trial training session
The trainer send me their etiquette yesterday

I saw there is ground fighting too
Im scared of that and i have a hard time going to the ground even only for sitting and comming up from the ground

• Be respectful toward EVERYONE in the dojo.
• Show politeness and greet everyone in the dojo. Introduce yourself if you don’t know someone yet.
• Show attentiveness toward beginners and those who are weaker.
• Offer support wherever you can.
• Punctuality is a virtue. If you do happen to arrive late, your first stop is the trainer.
• Take care of cleanliness and neatness of your training clothes.
• Wear a rashguard during ground fighting.
• Personal hygiene is a must; also trim your nails regularly.
• Enter the hall always without shoes.
• Remove jewelry, chewing gum, etc., before stepping onto the mat.
• Don’t injure anyone, and tap early before you get injured.
• Pay attention to your surroundings and your partner’s safety during sparring.
Be a role model for everyone else!
 
Explain your limitation concerns, and start slowly. Set a goal and don't quit until you reach it.
And you have to stop smoking 40 cigs a day. That's crazy. The only way to smoke 10 a day is if someone hides the cigarettes from you and dole out 10 in the morning to you. Otherwise, when you are done smoking 10, you’ll just go get #11.

I've seen people get off cigs and then balloon up because their appetite goes crazy. So could it not work the other way? you could smoke more. A lot lot more.
